Haiyang tourist resort is located in China's Shandong peninsula, in south-central Qingdao, Weihai and Yantai, three of China's excellent tourism city in the south of yellow sea, with a total area of 12 km2 and planning control area of 26 km2.
The construction HaiYangShi are planning for FengCheng DWT deep-water wharf, early open international shipping.
Shandong peninsula will become the nation's first Marine economy, project named "Blue economic zone".
The third annual Asian beach games will be held in Haiyang.

位于海阳市南部，以海阳旅游度假区为中心，海滩曲折绵延20多公里，沙细、浪稳、坡缓、水清，是国内最好的海滩之一。万米海滩海岸蜿蜿蜒蜒，平平坦坦，几乎都是质地细洁的金色沙滩，登凤山之巅，极目俯视，似一条金色巨龙蠕动在碧涛绿畴之间，又像一根金色的带子飘舞于大海边缘。相传古代有一只金凤凰自仙岛飞来，长鸣翔舞，艳丽的凤羽落在海岸化作金色海滩，遂留下凤凰滩的美名。人道凤凰不落无宝之地，1984年，原中共中央总书记胡耀邦视察此地，欣然挥毫题下了“海阳万米海滩浴场”，被海内外游客誉为“黄金海岸”，是海阳独有物色的旅游亮点。
海阳旅游度假区位于中国山东半岛中南部，地处青岛、威海、烟台三个中国优秀旅游城市的结合部，南临黄海，总面积12平方公里，规划控制面积26平方公里，为省级旅游度假区。2001年12月28日，经山东省人民政府批准，设立的省级旅游度假区，为中共海阳市委、海阳市人民政府的派出机构。
海阳市位于胶东半岛南端，黄海之滨，北临烟台，东接威海，西近青岛，位于三市中心地带，是胶东半岛重要的交通枢纽。
境内蓝烟铁路横贯东西，青威高速公路、烟青一级公路、烟凤一级公路以及青石公路、荣兰公路和309国道纵横交错；方圆120公里之内有烟台、威海、青岛三处机场和三处大型港口，境内还有国家二级开放口岸凤城港以及大埠圈等渔商港口，海陆空交通十分方便。
乘车去烟台、威海、青岛均需1小时车程，乘飞机去韩国需1小时左右。目前，海阳市正在规划建设凤城万吨级深水码头，争取尽早开通国际航运。
